A big part of this summer’s renovation focuses on our balcony. Here’s a shot with all the seats removed.

Next, the carpet will be ripped out, and all the seats will be refurbished with new padding and upholstery.  Meanwhile, the underside of the balcony has been tented, so that we can rip out and then raise the ceiling, allowing for a more spacious feel under the balcony.

After a couple days of work, here’s what it looked like under the balcony.

And then the next big project is to tear down the balcony railing.

The front of the balcony will be re-shaped, improving sightlines for everyone in the balcony, and also creating better sound in the theater (previously, sound would bounce off the front of the balcony making it harder to hear).
